This would be a portfolio for front-end developer and New Orleans resident Michael Milstead. However, you'll notice that it is not. Oh, yes. Life is not quite as magical as one would expect. Truth is, the site is undergoing one or three major changes and will return quite shortly. In the meantime, enjoy (or not) my incoherent ramblings about nothing in particular. I'm no poet, be warned.

SafetyAwards.com is an online shopping center that focuses on and encourages employee rewards and motivation for keeping safe on the job. Open source French software PrestaShop was heavily modified to function more as a product inquiry system than an e-commerce center with a payment gateway. The quantity discounting features of the software were also customized to fit Safety Awards’ needs to base the pricing of each item solely on promotional product pricing methods.

Cajun Connections, who services mainly oilfield-related companies, asked me to create a website to help sell their new promotional product intended for their current customers and to pick up new ones of the same nature. Custom labeled cajun seasoning is the idea, and businesses can order hot sauce, barbeque sauce, garlic sauce, and more with their personalized logo and design.

On the website, potential customers are able to fill a form to express interest in a new order, as well as upload any images or logos for Nan’s Cajun Seasoning to use when designing their custom label. A gallery of already existing clients and additional stock labels is also available to browse through. Yes, the site is built with tables, but if anything this documents my growth and learning that later led to a transition into full-on XHTML.
